SECTION 305—HOLIDAYS  

SHA will grant holiday time off to all employees on the holidays listed below:

*New Year's Day - Observed Jan 1, 2007 - Monday

*Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (third Monday in January) observed Jan. 15, 2007

*Easter (Monday after Easter) April 9, 2007

*Memorial Day (last Monday in May) May 28, 2007

*Independence Day (July 4 th or the nearest day if 4 th fall on weekend) Wed. July 4, 2007

*Labor Day (first Monday in September) September 3, 2007

*Thanksgiving (fourth Thursday in November) November 22, 2007

*Day after Thanksgiving—November 23, 2007

*Christmas Eve (Dec. 24 or nearest day if 24 th falls on weekend) 12/24/07--Monday

*Christmas Day (Dec. 25 or nearest day if 25 th falls on weekend) 12/25/07- Tuesday

*New Years Day Tuesday, Jan 1, 2008

SHA will grant paid holiday time off to all eligible employees immediately upon assignment to an eligible employment classification. Holiday pay will be calculated based on the employee's straight-time pay rate (as of the day of the holiday) times the number of hours the employee would otherwise have worked on that day. Eligible employee classification(s):

*Regular full-time employees

A recognized holiday that falls on a Saturday will be observed on the preceding Friday. A recognized holiday that falls on a Sunday will be observed on the following Monday.

April 9 - Easter Monday

May 28 - Memorial Day

July 4 - Independence Day Holiday

September 3 - Labor Day

November 22 & 23 - Thanksgiving
